"The Colour Ball" is a striking series of Polaroid photographs published by Dazed that captures the vibrancy and raw authenticity of New York City’s drag scene (over 50 drag queens). Shot entirely on instant film, the project pays homage to the ephemeral, expressive nature of drag culture while celebrating the individuality and creativity of its performers. Each portrait is an intimate snapshot that highlights not only the bold aesthetics and theatricality of drag, but also the deeper stories, identities, and communities that exist within the scene.
